Spherion Staffing, LLC seeks a Welder in Owatonna, MN for full-time, direct-hire placement. Starting pay is $24.00–$28.50 per hour, with a night-shift schedule from 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM and weekends off on a Monday–Thursday rotation.

Qualified candidates have 1–4 years of MIG welding experience in production, a technical welding background, and the ability to read blueprints and perform quality inspections. Safety and reliability are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on parts and frames, ensuring all work meets engineering standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine the correct welding processes and follow standard welding symbols.
• Conduct thorough inspections of completed welds to maintain strict quality and structural integrity standards.
• Handle a variety of duties including welding, grinding, and repairing welded assemblies on raw steel.
• Accurately complete and submit all required reports and documents on time.
• Operate hoists safely to position parts for welding.
• Effectively communicate any production issues or concerns to your supervisor.
• Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations.

Skills

• A technical high school degree in the welding field.
• At least one (1) year of welding experience in a production environment (manual or robotic).
• Three (3) or more years of experience in production MIG welding.
