Welder

Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working welder to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
• Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
• Overtime available Monday-Saturday
• Double time available Sunday

Responsibilities

• Stick welding (SMAW) capability is essential; aluminum MIG and stainless steel TIG welding capabilities are beneficial but not required
• Working from heights
• Working from scissor and boom lifts
• Working in confined spaces with limited access througheighteen inch hatch
• Climbing ladders
• Heavy lifting
