Job description

LABORER

Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working laborer to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston. Willing to train the right person.

Work Schedule

• Monday‑Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
• Saturday 7:30am-12:00pm
• Overtime available Monday‑Saturday
• Double time available Sunday

Responsibilities

• Cleaning
• Painting with brush, roller and spraying
• Sandblasting
• Working from scissor and boom lifts
• Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen inch hatch
• Climbing ladders
• Heavy lifting

Requirements

• Pre‑employment drug test
• Respirator fit test and physical
• Willing and able to work out side year round and in all weather conditions
