Job summary

Chart Industries is hiring a TIG welder for cryogenic piping in our McCarran, NV fabrication shop. You will read blueprints, weld stainless steel pipes, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 2 years TIG welding experience, preferably in pipe welding, with stainless steel. Certifications encouraged; familiarity with orbital welding and precision measuring tools is a plus. We offer competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience, preferably in pipe welding with stainless steel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TIG welding certifications (certifications encouraged).
• Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and the behavior of stainless steel in demanding applications.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

What Will You Do?

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel pipes used in cryogenic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

• Fast-paced fabrication shop and on-site project settings.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold environments associated with cryogenic systems.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.

Your Experience Should Be...

• Minimum of 2 years of TIG welding experience, preferably in pipe welding with stainless steel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TIG welding certifications (certifications encouraged).
