Job summary
Inventive Group in Mountain Home, ID is seeking a Welder to join the weld shop. This full-time, on-site role offers daily rotation across the weld shop, enabling you to build new skills while maintaining high quality welds on steel and aluminum.
You will read blueprints, follow WPS, and ensure precise welds. Our team adheres to 6-S standards and supports Kaizen/PDCA improvements; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Able to read blueprints and technical drawings into precise welds.
- Working knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Detail-oriented with pride in clean, precise work.
- Team player with reliable attendance.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and Gmaw-P welding with daily job rotation across the weld shop.
- Set up welding machines and follow Welding Procedure Specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to meet precise welding requirements.
- MIG weld steel and aluminum components to specification.
- Clamp, tack-weld, grind, and fit component parts for welding.
- Sustain 6-S standards in your work area and perform routine machine maintenance.
- Flag problems early and participate in continuous improvement activities (Team Meetings, 5 Whys, Kaizen, PDCA)

We're looking for a Welder to join our weld shop and help build the quality products our customers depend on. This is a hands-on, active role with daily job rotation so you're always building new skills — not stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll work alongside a team that holds itself to a high standard and supports each other in hitting it.
- Perform MIG and Gmaw-P welding with daily job rotation across the weld shop
- Set up welding machines and follow Welding Procedure Specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to meet precise welding requirements
- MIG weld steel and aluminum components to specification
- Clamp, tack-weld, grind, and fit component parts for welding
- Sustain 6-S standards in your work area and perform routine machine maintenance
- Flag problems early and participate in continuous improvement activities (Team Meetings, 5 Whys, Kaizen, PDCA)
- 2+ years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a production or manufacturing environment - you should be able to step onto the floor and produce quality welds with minimal onboarding
- Able to independently read blueprints and technical drawings and translate them into precise welds
- Working knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Detail-oriented - you take pride in clean, precise work
- A team player with reliable attendance
- High school diploma or GED preferred
