Responsibilities:

1. Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools.
2. Weld parts as necessary to meet production standards.
3. Use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches, gauges, and other tools.
4. Perform source inspection using traveling check sheets on every unit.
5. Perform daily TPM.
6. Use stop-the-line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns.
7. Follow work instructions and standard work daily.
8. Complete all daily data collection as established.
9. Perform daily 5S activities.

Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Good understanding of inventory control.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must have or obtain a fork truck license.
• Recognize the importance of working safely.
• Understanding of what constitutes quality products.
• Average or above-average skills in numeric and visual recall.
• Computer literate.
• Must pass annual weld test.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Welding experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures.
