Job description

  • Weld code and non-code material for at least one process (FCAW, TIG, SAW, SMAW)
  • Work from specifications, drawings, prints and welding symbols.
  • Set up weldments for code and non-code material.
  • Use hand-operated power tools including grinders, bevellers, and buffers.
  • Perform small jobs for maintenance department.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate or GED; Technical Welder Degree Preferred. Equivalent experience considered at discretion of management.
  • Ability to transfer between work centers to manufacture varying products as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
  • Flame cut various parts and materials with manual and automated cutting equipment.
  • Welding experience including Code Work preferred.
  • The skill level to pass an ASME 6G pipe test is considered as a level of ability required for this position (except for Sub-Arc)
  • Special Dimensions: Exposed to occupational and environmental risks part of a normal workday.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring awkward stances and positions for periods of time throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.
