Cimarron is hiring an Entry Level Welder in Marlow, OK. This role requires laying out, assembling, and welding metal parts per blueprints, with exposure to light tacking through heavy welding per ASME codes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, equivalent, or two years related work experience.
  • Proven ability to pass 3G plate test and 6G pipe welding test.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following safety procedures and maintaining equipment.
  • Pass the ASME Vessel Code Weld test.
  • Experience fitting and welding pressurized vessel/pipe.
  • Extensive knowledge of Mig and Stick welding operations.
  • Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as arc welders and gas welders.
  • Read and work from plans, sketches, diagrams, and blue prints.
  • Know occupational hazards and safety precautions in welding.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects.
  • Support Lean and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Adhere to company policies and maintain a safe, sanitary workplace.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Be flexible to work hours to meet plant requirements.

Job Details

Level: Entry, Job Location: Marlow - Marlow, OK, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: Up to 25%, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Manufacturing, Overview: Plans, lays out, assembles, installs metal parts, equipment, and products according to company specifications and blue prints. Position requires a wide range of welding skills including light tacking to heavy flat, up weld, and overhead weld according to ASME Codes. Operate a variety of power tools including, but not limited to saws, grinders, drills, welders, and overhead cranes. Must be able to comply with company safety policies, keep the work area clean, and possess the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other related duties as assigned. Must be able to pass 6g and 3g tests.

Essential Job Functions
  • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible.
  • Must have the ability to pass the ASME Vessel Code Weld test.
  • Must have experience fitting and welding pressurized vessel/pipe.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Mig and Stick welding operations.
  • Must have the ability to short arc, spray arc, and use a torch proficiently.
  • The ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as electric arc welders, and gas welders.
  • The ability to read and independently work from plans, sketches, diagrams, and blue prints.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects.
  • Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, equivalent, or two (2) years related work experience.
  • Successfully Pass a 3G plate test and 6G pipe welding test.
  • Read and follow blue prints.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-3 years minimum of related work experience.
