Summary

The position of a Welder is of great significance to our organization. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding metal/steel components on various trailers according to SOPs, Blueprints, and instructions from the Foreman or Lead. Assist other welders in completing trailers. Inspect welds to ensure quality standards are met. Support a team approach and perform other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain all company quality requirements and follow guidelines with a “Stop and Fix” mindset.
• Keep the work environment clean and adhere to 5S and safety standards.
• Read blueprints and drawings; take measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, settings, and methods based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
• Align components using fixtures, tape measures, levels, and clamps.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Prepare trailers and components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety.
• Assist other welders to complete work efficiently.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in awkward positions, including overhead work for extended periods.

Skills and Requirements

• Support a safe working environment.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Be at least 18 years old.

Education and Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED from a certified institution.
• Preferred: 2-3 years of industrial welding experience.
