Starting pay rate up to $31+/hr

How you will contribute

Valmont is seeking a motivated and talented experienced Welder. Your role will involve welding metal components to fabricate or repair products based on layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and various arc and gas welding equipment. Specific responsibilities include:

• Welding metal structural components for steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures
• Planning work from blueprints or specifications and determining operation sequences
• Maintaining and operating welding equipment and tooling safely
• Operating other shop machinery as needed

Required Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on welding experience in a professional environment
• Ability to pass welding tests and assessments
• Weld certification to meet AWS, CWB, and other standards in GMAW welding
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work from them accurately
• Knowledge of weld quality, penetration, and appearance
• Proficiency in measuring with a tape measure

Highly Qualified

• Over 3 years of professional welding experience
• Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments
• American Welding Society (AWS) certification
• Strong safety awareness
• Ability to communicate maintenance and product issues effectively
• Passion and integrity with a drive to excel
