Job summary

Fabcon in Lexington, KY is seeking a welder to join our Central Region team for permanent, full-time work. Shift: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, performing welding and general construction labor to erect precast concrete wall panels.

You will follow directions from the erection crew foreperson, maintain safety, and work with crew members on site, often outdoors in all weather. Travel of 50%+ and overtime may be required; valid driver’s license and union membership are needed.

Qualifications

• Welding experience required; AWS 3G and 4G welding certifications preferred.
• Two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.
• Ability to travel extensively (50%+) and work overtime as required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $27 - $51/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and general construction labor necessary to erect precast concrete wall panels.


• Complete welding assignments safely and efficiently as part of an erection crew.

• Ability to obtain membership in a local union.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.


• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required.


• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions


• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.


• Ability to work overtime when required.
