Job summary

Fabcon is seeking a Welder for the Central Region in Wisconsin to join our precast concrete crew. You will weld and perform general construction labor to erect precast wall panels, ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, AWS 3G/4G certifications preferred, and the ability to travel extensively, including overnight trips. This full-time role offers overtime opportunities and union benefits.

Qualifications

• Welding experience required; AWS 3G/4G certifications preferred.
• Two+ years construction or manual labor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and general construction labor to erect precast concrete wall panels.
• Complete welding assignments safely and efficiently as part of an erection crew.
• Follow work direction from foreperson and crew.
• Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned.
• Use materials and tools efficiently and safely on site.
• Follow all safety policies and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct with crew and site personnel.

Welder – Central Region

Permanent/Full Time, Shift:7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday

To provide general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a welding crew to erect precast concrete panels.

Salary Range: $27 - $51/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and general construction labor necessary to erect precast concrete wall panels.


• Complete welding assignments safely and efficiently as part of an erection crew.


• Follow work direction provided by the detail or erection crew foreperson.


• Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson.


• Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly.


• Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.


• Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel.

Requirements

• Welding experience required; AWS 3G and 4G welding certifications preferred.


• General knowledge of construction practices; two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.


• Ability to safely work at heights, including from ladders and aerial work platforms.


• Ability to obtain membership in a local union.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.


• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required.


• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions


• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.


• Ability to work overtime when required.
