Job description

Headquarters in Lakewood, Colorado, we have completed over $2 billion in mining and construction development projects that range geographically from the Artic to the Andes.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Construction Welder to join our team. This role involves working on active construction sites to weld structural steel and metal components according to specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate is proficient in various welding techniques and can work efficiently in changing site conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weld structural components on-site using MIG, Stick, or Flux-core methods
  • Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and welding symbols
  • Fabricate and install steel frames, beams, supports, and reinforcements
  • Perform field measurements and layout work
  • Conduct inspections to ensure welds meet quality and code requirements
  • Operate cutting torches, grinders, and other metal fabrication tools
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations and wear required PPE
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades for efficient workflow
  • Maintain tools, welding equipment, and job site cleanliness

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (trade school preferred)
  • 2+ years of welding experience in a construction setting
  • Proficiency in Stick and MIG welding (TIG a plus)
  • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift 50+ lbs
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and OSHA standards
  • AWS Certification (Structural Welding – D1.1)
  • Reliable transportation to job sites

Qualifications:

  • Experience with rigging or ironwork
  • Forklift or aerial lift certification
  • Welding license (if required by state/local regulations)
  • MSHA 40 hour training
  • Underground work experience preferred
