Job description

CIMCO is looking for experienced Piping Welders / Piping Fitters for our customers' construction projects.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Assist Superintendent prepare and coordinate all site material and consumable deliveries, ensuring all required items are onsite and inventoried.
  2. Receive, inventory and document all equipment and material deliveries, notifying the Superintendent when deliveries are not in compliance with purchase orders, equipment schedules or project specifications.
  3. Complete and verify that all welds are cleaned, stenciled, clear coated and visually inspected daily.
  4. Generate detailed weld maps for all installed piping and submit to Superintendent.
  5. Report any issues with disciplinary rig welders as needed to the Superintendent.
  6. Ensure all welding is conducted in accordance with CIMCO's welding procedures and report any issues to your Superintendent.
  7. Work with Superintendent to verify current project documentation (drawings, revised specifications, RFI responses, change orders, revised submittals and cut-sheets) are followed.
  8. Help Superintendent deliver quality as-built red lined drawings upon project completion.
  9. Assist Superintendent with the development of equipment pick plans and site safety requirements when crane work is required.
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  1. Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
  2. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  3. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important.
  4. Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
  6. Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
