Pappas Restaurants is seeking a Welder to join the Service team in Houston. The role involves fabricating stainless steel components, performing maintenance on equipment, and carrying out welding and assembly tasks both in the shop and on-site.

You will use a range of tools and machinery to support production needs. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year welding experience with TIG knowledge, basic blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work in a team or independently.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills for dimensioning.

You can expect a dynamic work environment, utilizing a variety of tools and machinery to support our production needs, both in the shop and in the field.*Welder Pay and Benefits: ** Up to $30 per hour, based on experience* Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, & 401k benefits* Company provided specialized tools* On the job training* Pappas Restaurants dining benefits* Steady, year-round employment and continuous training*Welder Qualifications: ** Minimum 1 year welding experience , TIG welding knowledge required* Formal welding training a plus but not required* Familiar with setting and adjusting welding equipment based on materials* Possess a basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, and models.* Ability to read basic blueprints and or drawings.* Possess hand and power tools to complete most jobs* Possess basic math skills related to dimensioning.* Ability to work as part of a team or independently as necessary.* Possess a valid driver license for the state in which employed.* Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers.* Possess a strong attention to detail.* Ability to work variable and flexible hours, and overtime as needed.Physical requirements:Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors; be able to lift up to 50 pounds, crawl, stoop, climb ladders and work in a variety of physical conditions.
