The primary focus of the Welder position is to safely fabricate and install all structural and miscellaneous steel work in accordance with design documents. This role requires several welding certifications, such as MIG, Fluxcore, and Stick Welding, or proven relevant experience. The candidate should have general construction knowledge and adhere to industry best practices.

Location: This position is based within a 90-mile radius of Pittsburgh, PA, and employment is through our Pittsburgh office.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Operate all types of steel working equipment and hand tools safely.
2. Read and interpret all drawings and design documents.
3. Perform layout, cutting, and welding for structural and miscellaneous steel as per shop drawings.
4. Fabricate beams, columns, angles, plates, and connections.
5. Use torch, plasma, mechanical, and grinding tools for cutting.
6. Assist with erection activities including rigging, field welding, and bolted assemblies.
7. Operate equipment such as man-lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and stud machines safely.
8. Maintain safety standards, including fall protection and scaffold safety.
9. Contribute to jobsite logistics, organization, and cleanup.
10. Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an apprentice or vocational program, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in field or shop fabrication.
• Strong project management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
