As a Welder at Curry Supply, you will support manufacturing operations by setting up and operating MIG welding equipment and fitting components according to job specifications. Projects will include fabrication of on-road and off-road water tanks, flatbeds, rail cabs, and subcomponents. You will work from blueprints or verbal instructions to fabricate or repair parts per customer requirements. The role requires strict adherence to all internal policies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment according to job specifications.
• Layout, position, align, and fit components for welding.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure them in place.
• Perform repairs by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints or follow verbal instructions for fabrication and repair.
• Adhere to internal safety standards and support risk management practices.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• D1.1 Welding Certification (preferred).
• Proficiency in MIG welding and grinding techniques.
• Experience with blueprint reading and welding machine setup.
• Ability to troubleshoot welding equipment.
• Willingness to train others and exhibit leadership in a shop environment.
