Job description

Chief Buildings is seeking a 2nd shift Welder to join our team. This position performs GMAW welding on production materials in accordance with required specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow proven safety practices, look out for teammates, and seek safety improvements.
• Understand and use hand tools, including tape measures.
• Interpret fabrication drawings and data sheets for weld assembly.
• Perform basic welding skills, including torch work and grinding.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Perform duties safely and efficiently, using required safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe conditions.
• Follow quality control procedures and standards.
• Maximize work output.
• Maintain AWS certifications as required.
• Meet or exceed 85% Ultrasonic Testing pass ratio.
• Operate equipment properly and understand relevant standards and procedures.
• Set up and perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Handle material using forklift and overhead crane.
• Complete all paperwork and data entry accurately.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Shift:

• 2nd Shift - 4:30pm to 3:00am
