Job summary

Associated Staffing Inc. in Holdrege, NE is seeking a skilled Welder for 2nd shift on a temp-to-hire basis. The role involves welding mild steel assemblies, reading blueprints, and following detailed procedures to meet tolerances. Overtime Fridays may be required.

The position requires the ability to read drawings, operate welding equipment (including possible robotic gas welding), and maintain equipment with high attention to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set welding machine voltage and wire speed to ensure proper metal fusion.
• Read and follow detailed drawings and standard work instructions.
• Produce complex welded assemblies while meeting quality standards and close tolerances.
• Operate welding equipment which may include robotic gas welding equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
• Inspect finished welds for defects, including weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp edges.
• Ensure all completed work meets quality and safety requirements.

Pay: $22.50 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday, 4:45 PM - 3:30 AM

Overtime: Fridays as needed

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team in Holdrege, NE! In this position, you will perform a variety of welding operations on mild steel assemblies. This role involves working with complex setups, welding equipment, fixtures and detailed drawings to produce high-quality welded products that meet specific tolerances. The ideal candidate will have welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and follow welding procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Set welding machine voltage and wire speed to ensure proper metal fusion.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing 25-50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout an 8-12 hour shift.
• Frequent physical activity, including pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and reaching.
• Ability to perform physical duties throughout the entire shift.

Additional Information

$22.50 per hour

2nd shift schedule Monday-Thursday workweek

Friday overtime as needed
