You will be responsible for producing a variety of metal parts according to specifications, interpreting blueprints, and operating metal shaping machines. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of TIG welding experience and a strong understanding of welding standards in the aerospace sector. Qualifications

As a Welder, you’ll work with metal fabrication equipment such as Gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW) and resistance welding to produce a variety of parts.

Responsibilities
  • Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes
  • Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • 2 + years TIG welding experience
  • 2+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day
Desired Skills
  • Previous welding experience in aerospace or aviation environment
  • Experience with welding thin gauge material and exotic metals (Inconel and Hastelloy)
  • Thorough understanding of tool design and fabrication methods and processes
  • Trade certification preferred
