Responsibilities include reading blueprints, operating metal shaping machines, and participating in continuous process improvement. As a Welder, you’ll work with metal fabrication equipment such as Gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW) and resistance welding to produce a variety of parts.

What You’ll Do

• Produce a variety of parts from shop drawings to conform to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines
• Participate in continuous improvement of processes
• Cross train in other complementary skills to support production requirements
• Observe all applicable safety requirements

Basic Qualifications

• 2 + years TIG welding experience
• 2+ years experience reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specificationsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day

Desired Skills

• Previous welding experience in aerospace or aviation environment
• Experience with welding thin gauge material and exotic metals (Inconel and Hastelloy)
• Thorough understanding of tool design and fabrication methods and processes
• Trade certification preferred
