Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Fort Worth, TX, seeks an Equipment and Machine Operator to weld and fabricate steel parts per shop prints in a safe, efficient manner. This full-time role requires basic math, ability to read shop prints, and use of hand/power tools.

Oxy/fuel cutting and Arc/MIG welding with certification are preferred. Candidates should have at least 1 year of steel fabrication experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication, at least 1 year preferred.
• High school diploma / equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math and read fractions with a tape measure.
• Ability to read shop prints and use basic hand and power tools.
• Capable of Arc & MIG welding and pass certification; capable of oxy/fuel cutting.

Job Requirements

Must have experience in steel fabrication, at least 1 year is preferred

High school diploma / equivalent

Ability to perform basic math

Ability to read fractions and a tape measure

Ability to read shop prints

Understanding of basic hand and power tools and their use

Capable of Arc & MIG welding both horizontal and vertical, with ability to pass certification

Capable of using oxy/fuel torch to cut steel

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Experience using industrial steel tooling such as vertical band saw, drill press, grinders, etc.

Prior use of plasma cutter

Prior use of fork trucks and rolling equipment

Prior use of overhead bridge cranes

Maintenance experience
