Job summary

e2Companies LLC is seeking a Welder at its Fort Myers production facility to fabricate and assemble structural steel for power systems, including BESS enclosures and transformer structures. You will work on carbon steel and support field deployments across sites nationwide.

The role requires the ability to read fabrication drawings, perform MIG welding, and maintain a safe, productive work environment in a fast-paced team setting. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Proficiency in MIG welding; Stick and Flux-Core welding are a plus.
• Experience reading fabrication drawings and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding on carbon steel components including BESS enclosures and transformer structures.
• Weld and assemble completed structures onto trailers for transport and field deployment.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure correct weld placement and fitment.
• Prepare materials for welding including cutting, grinding, fitting, and layout.
• Inspect completed welds for conformance to specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift (with assistance) to position heavy assemblies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment per safety policies.
• Collaborate with production to meet daily output targets and delivery schedules.
• Perform occasional field welding, repairs, or on-site modifications as needed.

JOB PURPOSE The Welder fabricates and assembles the structural steel that carries e2Companies' integrated power systems into the field. Working out of the e2North production facility in Fort Myers, this role builds the BESS enclosures, transformer structures, and trailer-mounted assemblies that get deployed to data center, commercial, and industrial sites across the country. Every weld is a load-bearing part of the infrastructure customers will run their operations on, and the person in this seat has a direct hand in whether e2 hits its delivery commitments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding on carbon steel structural components including BESS enclosures and transformer structures
• Weld and assemble completed structures onto trailers for transport and field deployment
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure correct weld placement and fitment
• Prepare materials for welding including cutting, grinding, fitting, and layout
• Inspect completed welds for conformance to specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Operate overhead crane and forklift (with assistance) to position and maneuver heavy assemblies throughout the production process
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output targets and delivery schedules
• Perform occasional field welding, repairs, or on-site modifications as production needs require
• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MUST-HAVE)

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proficiency in MIG welding required; Stick and/or Flux-Core welding strongly preferred
• Experience working primarily on carbon steel
• Ability to read and interpret basic fabrication drawings and welding symbols
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the full shift
• Ability to lift materials with the assistance of crane or forklift equipment
• Reliable, available, and able to commit to a 10x4 production schedule

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE-TO-HAVE)

• Proven experience in structural and piping welding
• Background in energy, BESS, EPC, or industrial manufacturing environments
• AWS welding certification or equivalent
• Experience welding stainless or galvanized materials
• Forklift certification or prior experience operating material handling equipment
• Familiarity with shop production workflows and quality inspection processes
