Job summary

Wastequip invites applications for a Welder position at our New Lebanon, NY operation. The role emphasizes MIG welding in a manufacturing setting, with responsibilities spanning fixturing, tack welding, and positional MIG welds across multiple orientations.

You will also prepare and adjust regulators for gas welding, inspect weld quality, and maintain a safe, efficient workspace. The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience, basic math and measurement skills, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and blueprints.
• Proficiency with measuring tools, fractions and decimals.
• Six months or more related experience preferred.
• Able to follow safety rules and work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in fixtures and tack weld as outlined.
• Perform MIG welds in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Connect regulators and set gas flow for cutting and welding operations.
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality; adjust as needed.
• Grind or chip excess welds, slag, or splatter.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and adhere to EHS requirements.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.Pay Range: $21.44 - $24.92 (Based on experience).ResponsibilitiesPositions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marksLays out, positions, and tack welds work piecesMIG Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld linesConnects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
