Job summary

Aerobraze, a division of Wall Colmonoy, manufactures turbine engine components at a Cincinnati, OH facility. We seek a welder to fabricate and join metal parts using TIG/MIG welding, reading drawings, and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma, 1 year experience or training, and AWS D17.1 qualification on basic materials. You will join a 50+ person team driving high-precision aerospace production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of welding experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read weld symbols and basic terminology.
• Able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• AWS D17.1 qualification on basic materials (e.g., stainless or aluminum).
• Capable of tack welds and basic fusion welds under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and join metal parts in an aerospace environment using Tig/Mig welding techniques.
• Create quality welds according to provided routers.
• Ensure equipment is properly set up and used safely with safety devices in use.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment affecting quality, productivity, or safety.
• Inspect welds and identify imperfections.
• Identify weld wire and electrode identifiers.
• Read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings.
• Adhere to standards regarding traceability and safety.

Job description

Aerobraze, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for the fabrication and joining of metal parts in an aerospace environment using Tig/Mig welding techniques.
• Create quality welds according to provided routers.
• Ensure all equipment is properly set up & used in safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
• Diagnose & troubleshoot equipment that affects quality, productivity, or safety.
• Inspect and identify weld imperfections.
• Identify weld wire and electrode identifiers.
• Read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings.
• Adhere to standards and procedures regarding traceability.
• Ability to read and understand instructions for quality and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School degree or equivalent
• 1-year professional work experience and/or training
• Proficiency in understanding and recognizing weld symbols with basic understanding of welding terminology
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• AWS D17.1 qualified on one or two basic materials (e.g., stainless or aluminum).
• Can perform tack welds and basic fusion welds under supervision.
