Job summary

Wall Colmonoy's Aerobraze Engineered Technologies division in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to shape the future of our aerospace production. You will manage full project life cycles, coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other teams, and help optimize processes and tooling.

The role emphasizes strong communication, project management, and Lean practices to improve standard procedures, provide technical plans, and troubleshoot production challenges.

Qualifications

• 7 years’ experience in aerospace, manufacturing, value engineering or product engineering preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to organize.

Responsibilities

• Manage full life cycle of projects, including contract review, planning, design, development, testing, implementation and closeout.
• Coordinate and direct program support through planning and execution within a program management framework.
• Provide interdepartmental communication between Engineering, Production, Quality and other areas to achieve goals.
• Develop and maintain standardized processes and sequences of operations; integrate into tech plans and routers.
• Establish procedures to guide production personnel on specifications, materials and quality requirements.
• Evaluate and analyze new developments or designs for application to current production processes.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues with processes.
• Design and develop tooling for new and existing programs.

Aerobraze Engineered Technologies, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery.

Manufacturing Engineer

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage full life cycle of projects, including: contract review, pre-project planning, definition, design, development, testing, implementation, execution and closeout.
• Coordinate and direct program support through planning and execution of project within an established program management framework.
• Provide necessary interdepartmental communication between Engineering, Production, Production Control, Quality, and other areas to accomplish assigned goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain standardized processes and sequence of operations. Specify and integrate the process procedures into tech plans and routers.
• Establish procedures to guide production personnel relating to specifications, material processes and quality requirements.
• Evaluate and analyze new developments or designs for application to current production processes.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues/problems with processes.
• Design and develop tooling for new and existing programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 7 years’ experience in aerospace, manufacturing, value engineering or product engineering preferred.
• An advanced degree in Aerospace, Materials, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college/university or equivalent is preferred, but not a requirement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to organize, and excellent communication skills.
• Project management skills.
• Lean practitioner.
