Job Summary

Spotlight Staff is seeking experienced and dependable Welders for our growing clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience, a strong understanding of fabrication and safety procedures, and the ability to produce quality welds in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

Perform welding using MIG (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and/or other welding processes as required

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and work instructions

Set up welding equipment according to job specifications

Weld, fit, and fabricate metal components and assemblies

Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and proper penetration

Use grinders, cutting tools, measuring devices, and other fabrication equipment

Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, cutting, or fitting materials

Identify defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments

Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized

Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE

Meet production and quality expectations

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or fabrication environment preferred

Experience with MIG and/or Stick welding

Ability to read a tape measure and use basic measuring tools

Ability to read and understand blueprints or fabrication drawings

Knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and safety practices

Ability to pass a weld test, if required by the client

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Dependable attendance and reliable transportation

Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in various positions

Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position

Comfortable working around heat, sparks, noise, machinery, and other typical industrial conditions

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
