Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Weld Technician to join our network of manufacturing-focused recruiters. You will perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, read blueprints, and ensure weld quality while supporting process improvements in a dynamic production environment.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's degree in Welding Technology, AWS CW certification, and 3+ years of manufacturing welding experience, preferably with robotic systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Welding Technology or related field.
• AWS CW certification.
• 3+ years welding experience in manufacturing, preferably with robotic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG and STICK welding processes and their applications.
• Ability to perform quality checks and troubleshoot welding equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials and part geometries.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine welding procedures and specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, including welders, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure adherence to standards and detect defects.
• Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment and fixtures as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding processes and improve product quality.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
