Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Weld Support Technician for our Texas Test Site to support welding operations. You will perform plasma table programming/operating, operate a band saw and chop saw, and assist with material movements in a fast-paced shop environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 2+ years using hand tools and band saws, plus 1+ year in plasma table programming. Strong reading of drawings and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 2+ years of experience with hand tools, band saws, or torch cutting in a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment
• 1+ years of plasma table programming/operating
• Experience in cutting or machining operations
• Knowledge of welding trade safety and occupational hazards

Responsibilities

• Perform plasma table programming/operating, band saw and chop saw tasks, and material movements
• Analyze engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances
• Obtain and maintain licenses or certifications as required
• Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and support continuous improvement
• Collaborate with leaders to complete assignments, meet deadlines, and review issues
• Perform related duties to ensure an efficient work environment
