Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing, a leading contract producer in New Hampshire, seeks a Weld Supervisor to lead welding operations in a safety- and quality-focused environment. You will supervise weld staff, manage production flow, and ensure adherence to NAVSEA and aerospace standards where applicable.

The role emphasizes process improvement, coordination with engineering and quality teams, and maintaining strict documentation and traceability for complex builds.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and welding certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years welding experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct welders and support staff; assign work, monitor productivity, and drive accountability.
• Owns weld department throughput and schedule adherence to support on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with welding procedures, drawings, and NAVSEA/ASME/AWS standards.
• Promote safety, Lean/5S, and continuous improvement within the weld area.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Program Management for process improvements.
