Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Welding Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry welding experience.
• U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Create, check and correct weld process instructions & records.
• Serve as a single point contact for technical welding questions from welders and production personnel.
• Oversee and drive new welding procedure qualifications from design through testing, documentation and submittal.
• Assist Quality with Maintenance of Welder Performance Qualifications.
• Assist Quality with internal & external welding audits.
• Generate weld time & material estimates for complex welding jobs.
• Implement process improvements for existing work.
• Develop novel welding processes for improving quality/efficiency.
• Design & build tooling/work aids as necessary for process improvement.
