Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is seeking a 1st Shift Welder for our Construction Equipment (CE) facility in Salina. Typical hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday with overtime on Fridays.

You will weld in various positions and operate welding robots while maintaining safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have MIG welding experience, can pass weld tests, and are open to Lean Manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work overtime as required and pass weld tests.
• Experience with MIG welding operations and readiness to learn lean manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Operate various welding robots.
• Lift heavy parts throughout the shift.
• Clean, repair and examine welds as needed.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE.
