Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. in Salina, KS, seeks a Weld Robot Operator for the 1st shift. This full-time role conducts setup, loads parts, and supervises robot weld cells from 6:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime Fridays as required. You will read specifications, inspect parts for quality, monitor machine operation, and collaborate with others to meet safety and quality standards under OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Read job specifications to determine parts and load sequences.
• Visually inspect parts for quality before loading.
• Monitor weld robot operation and report defects.
• Flexible to cross-train in different shop areas.

Responsibilities

• Set up, ensure accurate placement of parts, and operate robot weld cells.
• Read job specifications to determine parts and load sequence.
• Visually inspect parts to be loaded to verify they are of good quality.
• Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction and report as needed.
• Visually inspect parts quality to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Load finished parts on to cart for transportation to next process.
• Perform daily equipment inspections.
• Assist fellow operators when needed.
• Observes weld robot operation to detect defects or equipment malfunction and reports as directed.
• Monitor weld robot tasks and recommends quality improvement initiatives to the welding manager.
• Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
