Job summary

Triton Metal Products is seeking a Weld Engineer in Hamilton, IN to lead weld process development, fixture design, and robotic welding optimization across manual and automated operations.

The role focuses on improving weld quality, consistency, and efficiency, driving standardization, continuous improvement, and cost reduction while supporting new product launches and ongoing production needs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Welding Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 3–5+ years of welding, fabrication, or manufacturing engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize weld processes (WPS) for new and existing products.
• Design and improve weld fixtures for repeatability, efficiency, and quality.
• Program and optimize robotic welding systems to improve throughput.
• Establish and maintain weld process standards, best practices, and setup guidelines.
• Analyze weld performance data and drive improvements in quality, cycle time, and cost.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for weld-related issues.
• Support weld qualification activities (WPS/PQR) in coordination with CWI.
• Mentor weld technicians and support development of technical capabilities.
