Job summary

Laitram Machinery, Inc. seeks a Weld Clean Technician at our Harahan, LA site. The role requires a self-starter who can complete tasks with little direct supervision while handling intake, cleaning, and preparing welded equipment for chemical treatment.

You will follow procedures, ensure safety, prioritize orders, and verify weld quality to meet company standards. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow a work schedule and meet due dates.
• Ability to shift focus based on changing plans and priorities.
• Ability to be self-managed and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Intake new items for processing.
• Clean and prepare welded equipment for chemical treatment.
• Apply chemical treatment to welded equipment in accordance with procedures and safety guidelines.
• Identify HOT, inner company, and service orders and prioritize work accordingly.
• Inspect work to ensure welds are clean and quality meets Laitram standards.
• Move completed work to the correct next step in the production process.
