Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking an enthusiastic Quality Weld Inspector to ensure welded and fabricated products meet drawings, welding requirements, and customer specifications.

The role focuses on on-floor inspections at key production stages, collaborating with welders, team leads, and engineering to build quality into the process. Responsibilities include pre-weld, in-process, and final inspections, verification of weld sizes and locations, NCR/NCMR documentation, and support for NDT activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical education preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, tolerances and welding symbols.
• Working knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
• Experience documenting inspection results and nonconformances.
• Strong communication with production teams and quality personnel.
• AWS CWI certification or equivalent training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-weld, in-process, and final inspections per drawings and procedures.
• Verify products meet requirements before moving to next operation.
• Identify quality issues early to reduce rework and delays.
• Provide feedback to welders and supervisors on problems found.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
