Job summary

Greenberry Industrial seeks a Weld Engineer to lead welding engineering, procedures, and qualification activities across structural steel, fracture-critical, and ASME fabrication programs.

You will develop WPS, PQR, WPQ, ensure AWS D1.1/ASME IX compliance, mentor fabrication staff, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient projects. On-site in WA/OR with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification is required.
• Minimum 8 years of welding engineering or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, ASME IX, and AISC requirements.
• Experience developing and qualifying WPSs, PQRs, WPQs.
• Ability to read complex welding drawings and specifications.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and related welding documentation.
• Lead WPQ programs and welder qualification activities.
• Ensure compliance with AWS and ASME welding codes.
• Review customer specs and contract documents for welding requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to optimize fabrication.
• Support quality inspections and NDE interpretation.
