Job summary

Greenberry Industrial LLC in Vancouver, WA seeks a Weld Engineer to support structural steel, fracture-critical and ASME fabrication operations. This role serves as the SME for welding engineering, welding procedures, welder qualifications, fabrication quality, and welding code compliance.

The Weld Engineer develops, qualifies, and maintains WPS, PQR, WPQ programs; ensures AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, ASME IX compliance, and collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Project Management to

Qualifications

8+ years welding engineering, fabrication, or related industrial experience.
AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code - Steel and AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code knowledge.
ASME Section IX and AISC certification requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop, qualify, revise, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs), Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs), and WPQ documentation.
Develop Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) programs.
Review customer specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine welding requirements.
Support bid reviews, project planning, and constructability from a weld engineering perspective.
Provide guidance on SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW processes and troubleshoot welding issues.
