Job summary

New Flyer, North America’s heavy‑duty transit bus leader, seeks an experienced supervisor to drive cell output using safety, lean, and continuous improvement principles. You will oversee daily cell activity, ensure quality, and coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Material to meet build-in-station goals.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong people skills, and excellent written and spoken communication.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good people skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support all company safety initiatives; conduct weekly safety walks and enforce policies.
• Maintain the cell's quality output; lead self-inspection and MRB follow-up on rejected material.
• Lead the manufacturing cell; coordinate daily cell meetings and report results with corrective actions.
• Maintain production schedule; coordinate in-station and out-of-station requirements and overtime.
• Interface with Engineering, Material, and HR to resolve performance issues and support build-in-station requirements.
• Manage personnel matters; conduct toolbox talks, performance reviews, and attendance records; assist hiring as required.
