Job summary

Cunningham Restaurant Group is seeking a Host for Shin Dig in Plainfield, IN. The host is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service and a smooth dining experience.

The role involves greeting guests, managing waitlists and reservations, assisting guests with menus and information, and coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating and guest flow. Training is provided for those new to hosting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication are essential.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with reservation systems or software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them, manage the waitlist and reservations, and escort guests to tables.
• Take and confirm reservations and maintain an updated reservation book.
• Provide guests with information about the restaurant and menu items.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating and dining flow.
• Keep the host station and waiting area clean and organized, maintaining menus and promotional materials.
