Job summary

Custer Road United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Connections & Hospitality Coordinator to create a welcoming environment for guests and members. The role emphasizes Sunday morning leadership, volunteer coordination, and thoughtful guest follow-up to guide people to next steps in the church life.

The position is 10–15 hours per week, primarily Sundays with occasional evenings and events. Compensation commensurate with experience and aligned with ministry goals.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma, with Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must submit to and clear a background check and complete Ministry Safe training.
• Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a spirit of grace, patience and collaboration.
• Must demonstrate a growing Christian faith and support the mission of Custer Road UMC.
• Be warm, energetic, approachable, and service-oriented with a heart for hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Foster a warm, welcoming environment for guests and church members.
• Be present on Sunday mornings to greet guests, answer questions, and address hospitality needs.
• Oversee Sunday hospitality operations, ensuring volunteers are prepared and serving.
• Recruit, schedule, train, and communicate with Connect Team volunteers.
• Coordinate timely, welcoming follow-up with first-time guests and track next steps.
• Keep the Connection Point organized with guest resources and signage.
• Handle guest information with discretion and confidentiality.
