Job summary

The OAHE FAMILY YMCA in Pierre, SD is seeking a Member Services Representative to greet members, answer questions, process billing, and promote YMCA programs. You will provide frontline support at the front desk, maintain a clean space, and help deliver a welcoming experience.

This role offers flexible shifts, cross-training in Lifeguarding and Childcare, CPR/First Aid training provided, and growth opportunities within a supportive community organization.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and visitors warmly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
• Respond to member inquiries via phone and in person promptly.
• Assist members with account questions, including billing and program information.
• Document member interactions in the computer system.
• Give tours and promote YMCA membership benefits.
• Direct complex issues to the appropriate department head.
• Wash and fold towels and ensure supplies are stocked.

About the Role:The Member Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring our members receive exceptional service and support. This position is responsible for addressing member inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about our services and programs. The representative will act as the first point of contact for members, fostering positive relationships and enhancing member satisfaction. This role is vital in maintaining a high level of member engagement and loyalty.Choose your own shifts, working 5 to 35 hours a week. Shifts are available Saturdays 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Sundays 9:45 AM to 5:15 PM, and Monday – Friday 4:15 AM – 9:15 PM, with the greatest need on weekend afternoons between 12-5:15 pm, and on holidays. Max of 40 hours per week.Cross-Training Opportunity:Desk staff have the opportunity to cross-train in other departments, including Lifeguarding and Childcare. Employees who become cross-trained will be eligible for additional compensation and will gain valuable experience across multiple areas of our organization.
