Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

1. Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner. Follow company policies relating to customer checkout to increase satisfaction.
2. Identify and shop customer orders timely to ensure accurate and fresh deliveries.
3. Operate Front End scanning equipment and register, perform all checkout procedures including bagging merchandise efficiently and placing merchandise in the customer’s cart.
4. Contact customers by phone to address questions or concerns.
5. Operate console and picker devices to ensure accuracy.
6. Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers.
7. Ensure transaction accuracy, proper charging, and secure cash handling, including adherence to legal guidelines for tobacco and alcohol sales.
8. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department according to schedules and health/OSHA standards.
9. Collaborate with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department and store operations and continuously improve job performance.
10. Utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly.
11. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
