Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a part-time Weight Room Attendant to support daily operations in the Athletics department. The role reports to the Assistant Athletic Director and emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and service to student-athletes and facility users.

Qualified candidates must be registered SWTCC students and approved for Federal Work Study. The position supports game-day activities and equipment setup, with additional duties as assigned by athletics staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered student of Southwest Tennessee Community College.

Responsibilities

• Monitor weight room activities and ensure compliance with facility rules and safety procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe weight room environment.
• Wipe down and sanitize equipment before and after use.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist coaches and staff with setup and breakdown of equipment for workouts.
• Track and maintain inventory of weight room supplies and equipment.
• Enforce facility policies and promote proper use of fitness equipment.
• Provide customer service and assistance to student-athletes and facility users as needed.
• Assist with game day and athletic department operations when assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
