Job summary

University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking a Weight Management Pharmacist to support pharmacologic obesity treatments in outpatient clinics. You will collaborate with providers to initiate, optimize, and monitor weight loss therapies, conduct patient outreach, and ensure safe medication access.

You will also precept students, educate clinical teams, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives under supervision. Flexibility for hours/locations is required.

Qualifications

• Pharm D or equivalent.
• Licensed pharmacist in California.
• Meet minimum experience: PGY2 or PGY1+1 year or 4 years of pharmacist experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and consultative support for obesity treatment in outpatient settings.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents; support clinical teams and quality initiatives.
• Promote adherence and safety; resolve medication access barriers; act as weight management SME.
