UCSD Health is seeking a Weight Management Pharmacist to collaborate with outpatient provider teams, overseeing initiation and ongoing management of weight loss therapies. The role includes patient outreach to improve adherence and safety, and acting as a pharmacy expert for weight management treatments.

The position also involves precepting pharmacy students and residents and contributing to quality improvement initiatives under pharmacy leadership.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) or equivalent training.
• Registered Pharmacist in the State of California.
• Incumbents can meet the minimum experience qualifications in 1 of 3 ways: 1) PGY2, 2) PGY1 plus 1 year of pharmacist experience, or 3) 4 years of pharmacist experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized clinical and consultative pharmacy support for obesity pharmacotherapy.
• Support initiation, optimization, and ongoing management of weight loss medications.
• Conduct patient outreach to promote adherence and medication safety.
• Precept pharmacy students and residents; support quality improvement initiatives.
