Kern Energy is seeking a Weighmaster for the Corporate Office in Bakersfield, CA. You will operate weighing equipment, collect samples, and thoroughly document all activity while coordinating with truck drivers and operations to ensure smooth, compliant product transfer.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and clear communication in outdoor conditions, with a rotating 12-hour shift and a strong focus on preventing spills or incidents.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of refinery operations, product sampling, and weighing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow compliance protocols.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor conditions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate weighing equipment and software to measure weight of inbound/outbound vehicles.
• Collect product samples for routine laboratory analyses.
• Document weighing and sampling in shift log and ensure accurate data entry.
• Complete structured shift turnover and review daily notes for tasks.
• Verify truck compliance with safety/environmental standards in the scale area.
• Safely complete all tasks with no spills, releases, or incidents.
• Provide courteous interaction with drivers during weighing and sampling.
• Notify supervisors of operational or compliance concerns.
