Job summary

Cedar Valley Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift across the service area, covering weeknights Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm–8:00am. The role includes direct end-of-life care and on-call responsibilities with guaranteed salary of $67,600/year.

You’ll respond to calls, schedule visits, collaborate with physicians, and support patients and families to maximize quality of life while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn work-related software.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all calls on weeknights and provide direct hospice nursing care.
• Complete assigned weeknight visits scheduled by the primary care nurse.
• Consult with physician for orders and communicate patient condition changes.
• Use teaching, assessment, observation, and intervention skills to maximize quality of life.
• Manage the individualized patient plan of care and revise as needs change.
• Participate in hospice admissions process with accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with Rest Assured team to meet on-call needs agency-wide.
