Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a Youth Specialist for a Staff Supported Boys' Housing program in Royal Oak. The role supports adolescents transitioning from foster care to independent living, with on-site supervision on Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 11pm.

You will provide trauma-informed supervision and emotional support, respond to crises, and help maintain a safe, structured environment. Growth opportunities are available within youth services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in human services or 60 college credits required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
• Experience or interest in working with youth in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and emotional support in a trauma-informed setting.
• Respond to crises with empathy and professionalism.
• Document observations and incidents per program standards.
• Collaborate with a team dedicated to youth empowerment.
