Wisconsin Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Youth Care Worker for the Youth Shelter Program in Milwaukee. This part‑time weekend position requires providing safe, supportive, and empowering care to youth aged 12–17, serving as a positive role model, assisting with daily activities, and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes growth, stability, and hope.

You MUST have 2 years of experience with youth ages 12–17. Earn additional pay for weekend shifts!

Qualificações

• Must have at least 2 years of experience working with youth aged 12–17.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED/HSED.
• Must meet all background checks and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s history.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct support to youth in the shelter on all shifts, ensuring safety and well‑being at all times.
• Supervise youth and maintain eyes on youth in person; no supervision on cameras.
• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, meals, and recreation.
• Monitor residents’ behavior and apply behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.
• Maintain close communication with staff and document care using EMR systems.
• Support youth with individual care plans, including medication administration and health monitoring.
• Maintain accurate EMR notes and case management files.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and de‑escalation to keep a calm environment.
• Assist with light cleaning to maintain a safe, welcoming space.
